  • Tech leads stocks in choppy session, gold hits 1-year high

    All three of the major U.S. benchmark averages notched gains on Thursday in a see-saw session as investors mull the banking crisis against the Federal Reserve's latest rate hike. Technology shares led the gains, while energy was the worst performer. In commodities, oil slipped over 1% to $69.96 per barrel, while gold hit the highest level since March of 2022: $1,993.80 per ounce.
